Refunds

If the course doesn't deliver what it promised, we give you your money back.

🛡️ The promise

You have 14 days from purchase to request a refund. How much you get back depends on how much of the course you already consumed — fair to both you and the creator who produced the content.

Calculated on lessons you marked as completed vs total lessons in the course (within 14 days of purchase):

Why the scale? Because consuming 80% of a course and asking for 100% back is unfair to the creator who invested time, work and money producing the material. You pay to consume; if you consumed, you received something.

📋 When it applies

  • It's been 14 days or less since your purchase. The cutoff date is calculated automatically at checkout — you can see it in your profile.
  • You paid with a card via Stripe (doesn't apply to gifts or free promos).
  • Your enrollment is still active (wasn't previously refunded or canceled).

🚫 When it doesn't apply

  • ×More than 14 days passed since purchase.
  • ×You completed 80% or more of the course. By that point the content was consumed and there's nothing to return.
  • ×You bought with a promotional discount (review the coupon's terms).
  • ×Monthly/yearly subscriptions after the first billed cycle (future billings cancel when you unsubscribe, but we don't refund the cycle already charged).

🔄 How to request a refund

  1. Go to your account → My courses → select the course.
  2. If you're inside the window, you'll see a "Request refund" button. Click it.
  3. State the reason (optional but helps the creator improve).
  4. You get the money back in 5-10 business days to the same payment method. Stripe processes it, not us.
  5. Your access is revoked immediately when the refund is confirmed.

If you don't see the button or have questions, write to support@kourze.com from the email you bought with, including the course name. We answer in less than 24h.

💸 What happens to the creator

When a refund is processed:

  • ·The credit in the creator's balance is automatically reversed.
  • ·The commission Kourze charged is also reversed (we don't keep a fee on an undone sale).
  • ·If the creator already withdrew the money to PayPal, the balance goes negative until offset by future sales or a wire transfer.

❓ Chargebacks and disputes

If instead of asking us for a refund you dispute the charge with your bank directly: Stripe charges us ~$15 USD per chargeback fee (no matter the result). That's why we prefer to resolve it amicably via support. Any dispute resolves faster if you write to us first.

Are you a creator who received a refund request?

You manage it from the Stripe Dashboard (Refunds → Find charge → Refund). Kourze detects the event via webhook and reverts enrollment + balance automatically. You don't have to do anything extra in the platform.
